Merry Christmas Everyone! I can't believe it is officially the Christmas season. What a great way to start the month of December by peeking into peoples homes all decked for the holidays and by hearing about what this season means to us and to you. Lindsey and I were so honored to be asked to be apart of the Meaningful Holiday Home Tour with all of these amazing bloggers who have such beautiful homes and beautiful hearts. With Lindsey and I being sisters and growing up in the same home we both have very fond memories of Christmas' past and have traditions that we remember doing and are now passing onto our own families. Plus adding new ones. Christmas has always been so special to us and our family. At a very young age we learned that giving, and the gift of Jesus was always the most important thing about this time of year. Our mother always decked our house every year and one of our favorite memories was decorating our home with her, while listening to Amy Grant Christmas album and baking Christmas cookies. It was magical.
One of our favorite memories growing up was singing all of the Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve before reading the Christmas story together as family and with our grandparents. We still do this every year with our own children. Something special that Lindsey and I both do with our own children is Operation Christmas Child where we get a few boxes and fill them up for Children across the world. This has become a very special thing that we do with our kids. We look forward to it every year and it gets the focus off of what we want and on blessing others.
So thank you for taking the time to stop by and look at our homes. You will definitely want to keep scrolling to get to Lindsey's beautiful, cheery home and the links to all of the other wonderful blogs participating in this tour. Now let's get started!
First we have my very neutral formal dining/living room...
I just had to get the flocked tree this year. It was a $149 Walmart special!
My breakfast nook/family room area is much different. Very cheery and kid friendly. These are all of the things my kids love getting out. I give them free reign with this Christmas tree. It's filled with ornaments from my childhood and ones my children have gotten throughout the years in their stockings.
My white tree in my room is one of my favorite things. It gives such a pretty glow and watching movies at night with the glow of the tree while laying in bed is about the best thing ever!
Now Onto Lindsey's home! I'll be honest. I get a little envious of her gorgeous home. Love the light that it gets and the open floor plan. And she scores the most amazing furniture pieces! I love how she kept it pretty simple this year and didn't even buy one thing new! Her family likes to wait to buy their tree until December, but when she gets it, it will be gorgeous!
Here is her gorgeous entryway...
Can't get enough of white with gold touches and greenery!
Run don't walk for this bar cart at Target for under $100!
My favorite! Her gorgeous shiplap wood stained wall! Love how she kept it simple.
I hope you Enjoyed our Christmas homes! And maybe it gave you a little bit more inspiration for your home this holiday season.
