One Room Challenge/Master bedroom makeover!

Hi!  Andrea Here!  When I saw that the blog callingithome was hosting the one room challenge I decided that I had to be apart of it!  This meant I needed to get our blog back up and running!  So here I am, hoping to document my mini bedroom makeover.  We are renting this house and I have not yet done one thing to our master bedroom, other than put our furniture in here.  I thought this was the perfect time to get started and I am up for the challenge!  I will be posting here every Wednesday for six weeks to show my progress.  Here's the plan...

1.) First things first.  Paint the room!  I'm thinking of a white dove or swiss coffee by Benjamin Moore.  We are so lucky that the home owners have been so great about us making this place our own!
2.) Fluff the bedding a bit.  Not sure what this will look like quite yet but I'm thinking some new Euro pillows and fall layering.
3.) Adding some greenery.  I have a thing for plants these days.  :)
4.) Artwork for the walls.  I'm thinking texture and simple.
5.) And Im thinking maybe, but not sure yet about some simple airy curtains outlining the window.
6.) Adding the accessories.  Touches of gold and black and white.  Again, keeping it simple.

So there ya have it!  This is what the room looks like right now.  I think I'm off to a pretty good start.  I bought these gold table lamps a couple months back and love them.

And here are a couple of things I have been collecting for the room design.  I would put a board together but I honestly feel like this is just going to be one of those projects that will just come together as I find things I like.   Time to get started!  Check back with me next Wednesday for an update!

xo,
Andrea
